Recent progress:

1997 saw new energy and vision introduced to the business. The first major change was the business moving across town to a new factory in Burgess St Altona North . Moving to the western suburbs was a strategic decision to be nearer to our clients.

As the business neared it’s important 10th year anniversary and with the new millennium approaching, the need for more changes to promote faster growth was recognised. The goal was to further improve the business to become a ‘one-stop-shop’ for hydraulic breakers. To be able to provide clients with a single place to purchase, commission, maintain and repair their equipment would surely be a winning strategy.

In October of 1998, Walkers Hammers proudly accepted its appointment to the role of ‘Victorian Distributor’ for both the ‘Rammer’ and ‘Pneuvibe’ brands. With these important new partnerships in place, Walkers was able to begin expanding it’s already successful business into new areas.

Both changes to the business and success came quickly following the appointment. The teams hard work was recognised in 2000 when Walkers Hammers was awarded the “Rammer Dealer of the Year” award. Having achieved this success so quickly, the team was determined to continue their excellent work to stay ahead of their peers.

With the business continuing to grow, June 2001 saw the company move into its current, much larger, premises in Somerleigh Road , Laverton. The new factory equipped with it’s 10 ton overhead crane gives Walkers the ability to service even the largest breakers in their workshop.

The team again achieved the honor of being named the “Sandvik Rammer Dealer of the Year” in 2003-2004, confirming their place as a market leader. Today the team is working toward their mutual goal of continuing their winning form.
